All your scheduled transactions can usefully be viewed on a single calendar This might sound a little pedestrian so far, but once users dive a little deeper they’ll find that a range of more complex solutions are available in the app. For example, users can create budgets using MoneyWiz 2 which allow them to keep better track of their expenses. Usefully, these update in real time based on transactions made in the application.
Some of the arrangements are pretty out there and the melody sometimes isn't apparent until a minute or so into the tracks.

You can also create scheduled transactions from inside a separate pane: these can be recurring (like a monthly insurance bill, for example) or a scheduled one-off payment penciled in for a future date. What’s nice though is that this scheduled pane features an in-line calendar highlighting all your scheduled transactions for the month. Graphs are visually simple and easy to grasp MoneyWiz 2 users can import financial data in the form of a CSV, OFX, or QIF file and this can be done using the iOS “Open In” extension, either from the Mail application or using a cloud-based app like Dropbox or Google Drive.
In theory, this method should provide users of the application with a quick and easy way to get their financial history into MoneyWiz 2, however after testing the feature, the application failed to parse information correctly several times regardless of the file format used. As such, this is an area MoneyWiz 2’s developer could improve through a future update. It’s worth noting though that while users can manually input data into MoneyWiz 2 free of charge, the application can also sync up with an online banking service in order to auto-fill your most recent transactions into the application.
This feature, however, will set you back an in-app purchase (IAP) of $4.99 per month (or $49.99 per year). By twtmd Being an Apple user for years as well as a Quicken user for over 20 years, getting something to work better with Apple products and synch seamlessly with all had been a challenge. Quicken never quite figured out IOS or Mac. I was reluctant to change having used Quicken for so long.
After testing Banktivity it became apparent to me, that for Mac, iPhone,and iPad capability and working together, Banktivity was far superior to Quicken. I now use it exclusively and literally am always up to date across all platforms at all times. I synch bank accounts, 401k, and other investment accounts as well as American Express. The budgeting portion was a top priority for me and is as good or better than the many I have tried. Editing and assigning budget categories is simple and automatically assigning categories to recurring payees works smoothly.
For use with Apple products, I am firmly in the Banktivity camp. By P in Mpls I was hoping to find a full featured finance app for my iPad.
Banktivity does a lot, but is missing critical features and is more of a companion app to the desktop app than a full app that can stand on its own. Rather annoying that after paying $65 for the desktop version you have to pay another $20 for a watered-down companion app. Significant things like setting up online access, editing existing transactions, etc are missing, and the interface is often on the clunky side. The functionality beats Moneydance, but not by much. Update: The more I try to use this, the more frustrated I get. The interface is not intuitive, there is.NO. manual for the iPad version, and searching their online support site generally gives you articles for the desktop version.
IGG software is misrepresenting the capabilities of its app on the App Store. By houstonbruce I started off with the Mac OS X version which is perfect for my business needs. It has so many useful features that it makes managing my business bookkeeping very easy. I categorize everything, assign income and expenses to those categories, and run the reports at the end of the year. This makes my accountant happy.
The iPad version is not as full-featured, but it does sync with the desktop version via iCloud, so everything is always in sync on either version. So that is the good. 1) I wish the iPad version had better reporting features 2) I wish the desktop version would give you the option for traditional bar graph reports. The info graphics might be good for millennials, but this Gen-Xer needs bars.
