Youth Leadership Greenville “Youth Leadership Greenville offered insight into the wonderful opportunities that abound in our community, as well as the difficult challenges faced by many in our midst, sparking in me a keen interest in public service and a strong desire to make a difference.' Olivia Baddley, Class 6 Modeled after the our signature Leadership Greenville program, Youth Leadership Greenville is designed to bring awareness to young people, challenge them to become engaged citizens, and prepare them to serve in leadership positions within our community.
Participants are provided the opportunity to develop an awareness of community needs, the leadership skills necessary to meet those needs, and to work collaboratively with community leaders. Class days include topic discussions on Greenville’s history, quality of life, government, justice, human services, and the economy. In addition to class days, participants get involved in a class project that addresses and benefits a specific community need.
